Plan Commission Meeting
Town of Cooks Valley
August 4,2008

David LaGesse, Chaiian of the Plan Commission, called the Plan
Commission meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday August 4,2008 at the Cooks
Valley Town Hall. Those present at the meeting were David LaGesse, Ron
Fanetti, Arlene Hintzmaq Jerry Ruff, and Chris DeGidio. Sam LaGesse, Denis
Schindler, Jean Schindler, Pat Prince, Robert Stienmets, Loran Zwiefelhofer, and
Mark Clements also attended the meeting.

Arlene Hintzman made a motion to accept and place on file the minutes of
the July 15,2008 Plan Commission meeting. Jerry Ruff seconded the motion. The
motion passed 4-0.

Dave Michaels was unable to attend and did not submit a diagram of the
variance he was requesting, so the Plan commission tabled the issue.

The Plan Commission continued their discussion on the potential problems
Cooks Valley may face regarding mining in our township. These issues include but
are not limited to: the quality of the ground water, maintaining the township roads,
the amount of time the mine(s) would operate each day, and maintaining the rural
atmosphere of the township.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND BUSINESS

- Discuss possible amendments to the CHAPTER 19 MINING ORDINANCE

- Continue linling ordinances to the comprehensive plan

- The next Plan Commission meeting will be Thursday September 4,2008 at 7:30 P.M.

ADJOURNMENT:
Jerry Ruff made a motion to adjourn the meeting; at 9:15 pm. Arlene
Wintzman seconded the motion. The motion passed 4-0.
