PLAN COMMISSION MEETING
Town of Cooks Valley
December 5, 2012

Chairman Doug Zwiefelhofer called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 8:00 pm on Wednesday December 5, 2012 at the Cooks Valley Town Hall [15784 40th Street].   Plan Commission members in attendance:  Doug Zwiefelhofer, Arlene Hintzman, Carol M. Clements, Scott Johnson and Thomas Short.
Public Comment:  There was no public comment.
Discussion and possible action on revision of Chapter 23 Schedule of Fees and Forfeitures:    Thomas Short made a motion to recommend Chapter 23 to the town board.  Arlene Hintzman seconded the motion.  The motion carried 5-0.
Discussion and possible action on Chapter 14 Building Permits:  Discussion of exemption of permits. 
Carol M. Clements  made a motion to add G to Chapter 14- reroof structure with like material, section 7 item B be less than $5,000.00.  Scott Johnson seconded the motion.  The motion carried 5-0.
Discussion and possible action on Chapter 19 Non-Metallic Mining Ordinance:  Scott Johnson made a motion to recommend to the town board a draft revision of Town of Cooks Valley Mining ordinance Chapter 19 with the stipulation that Chairman Darrel Fehr checks with Attorney Glenn Stoddard about monitoring our enforcement of section 2.09 and section 1.10 about this ordinance.  Carol M. Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 5-0.  Thomas Short made a motion to recommend changes to the town board of Cooks Valley on Appendix A of Town of Cooks Valley non-metallic mining application.  Carol M. Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 5-0.
Discussion and possible action on Chapter 7 Lot size-lot size vs. right-of-way:  Arlene Hintzman made a motion to change the wording from road right-of-way to road centerline.  Scott Johnson seconded the motion.  The motion carried 5-0.
Future Agenda:
Addition to the town board meeting agenda a possible quorum of the plan commission may be present at the town board meeting. 
Carol M. Clements made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:13 pm.  Arlene Hintzman seconded the motion.   The motion carried 5-0.
