COMMISSION MEETING
Town of Cooks Valley
January 3, 2018

Chairman Doug Zwiefelhofer called the Plan Commission meeting to order at 8:04 pm on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the Cooks Valley Town Hall [15751 40th Street].   Plan Commission members in attendance:  Doug Zwiefelhofer, Thomas Short, and Damian Prince.
Approval of the plan commission meeting minutes of December 6, 2017:  Damian Prince made the motion to approve the minutes of the December 6, 2018 plan commission meeting.  Thomas Short seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Public Comment:  Darrel Fehr, chairman of the Town of Cooks Valley, distributed the reclamation plan proposed by Chippewa Sands to the plan commission board.  There was discussion concerning the plan.
Discussion and review of the Land Comprehensive Plan:  The plan commission reviewed and discussed pages one through ten of the Land Comprehensive Plan.
Discussion and possible action on landfill ordinance:  On page 1, reverse section 4 paragraph D & E; on Section 9 add E, which would state ‘no person would be issued or reissued a permit under the ordinance if the facility site is within ½ mile of a well.  Damian Prince made a motion to make changes to the draft of the landfill ordinance.  Doug Zwiefelhofer seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Future agenda items and business:
Review and discuss pages 11-20 of the Land Comprehensive Plan
Discussion of draft of the Landfill Ordinance
Adjourn:  Damian Prince made a motion to adjourn at 9:00 pm.  Tom Short seconded the motion.
The motion carried 3-0.
