Town of Cooks Valley
REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
Monday April 13th, 2026
Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on April 13th, 2026 at 7:00 pm. The supervisors present
were Matt Borofka and Kale Clements. Other officers present: Erica Ullom-clerk and Jan Thorson–treasurer.

Recitation of Pledge of Allegiance by delegation present.
Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the April 13th, 2026 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on April 8th, 2026.
Public Comment: no public comment
Discussion and possible action on budget categories- none brought forward
Discussion and possible action on new banking establishment-Pillar Bank-Darrel Fehr made a motion to move accounts from SFB to Pillar Bank; 2nd Matt Borofka motion carried 3-0.
Approval of the March 9th 2026 board meeting minutes; Matt Borofka approved, seconded by Kale Clements motion carried 3-0.
Reading by Treasurer of January financial report- Ending balance on March 31st, 2026 of $107,044.09 and total cash on hand $213,838.03. Security Bank loan balance as of March 31st, 2026 is $48,650.57
Reading and approval of the March bills-checks 6612-6636-Darrel Fehr approved, seconded by Matt Borofka motion carried 3-0.
Building/driveway permits- Rothbauer, Rufledt, Bohl
Discussion and possible action on new clerk to start May 1st 2026-Darrel Fehr made a motion to appoint Nichole Richter as new clerk; 2nd Kale Clements motion carried 3-0
Discussion and possible action pertaining to plan commission-did not meet
Chairman’s report-fire report-no fires to Darrel’s knowledge, Darrel will be getting some patch material for the potholes, Road Review Wednesday April 15th at 9am, Tom will be putting some new stop ahead signs up by Borofka Barn and pull the other empty pole, there is another sign down on 160th
Recycling report by Rod Thorson-steady as it goes; workers are filling shifts, boxes are starting to get full, garbage is half full, demo box is fairly empty, totes have some room yet, Rod will clean up some of the brush
Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report-townhall rental 4/26, election 188 voters and thank you to our workers, new chargers for the laptop
Future items and business-annual meeting Tuesday April 21st , next meeting May 11th , J & J Brush Cutting, Pillar Bank and stabilizer for 70th street project, second deputy clerk.
