Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on January 13, 2025 at 7:00 pm. The supervisors present
were Matt Borofka and Kale Clements. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Jan Thorson –treasurer.

Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the January 13, 2025 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on January 9, 2025.

Discussion and possible action on budget categories: None
Approval of the December 9, 2024 Board meeting minutes – Matt Borofka made a motion to approve minutes for December 9, 2024 board meeting. Kale Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Reading by Treasurer of December financial report: Ending balance on December 31, 2024 of $78,052.35 and total cash
on hand $173,095.41. Security Bank loan balance as of December 31, 2024 is $90,497.53
Reading and Approval of the December bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #6261 - 6286 for payment of the December bills. Mark Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Building/driveway permits: none
Discussion and possible action pertaining to plan commission- did not meet
Chairman’s report: roads in good shape, no fires reported, Darrel will talk with Chippewa county highway about frequency of plowing.
Recycling report by Rod Thorson – Rod thanked Tom for covering in December, metals full and need swap,
swapped recycling last week, no freon items have been brought in.
Dissemination of Information, Clerks report: Election training January 30 at 1:00 Chippewa Courthouse, mileage for 2025 raised from 67 cents to 70 cents, messed up on recycling wages so will add to next paycheck $6.00 a session, W-2’s and 1099’s done by Ackerlund Financial at cost of $110, Go Green award from Rightaway rolloff for 11.38 Tons recycling, town hall rented for March 8, 2025
Future agenda items and business: Pledge of Allegiance, discussion and possible action on: Budget categories, minutes of January 13, 2025 regular meeting approved, Treasurers financial report, January bills, building permits, concerns pertaining to the Plan Commission, discussion on attendance at WTA on March 15, discussion on 2025 Road projects & discussion on marking culverts for Chippewa countymaps
The next regular town meeting is scheduled for – February 10, 2025 at 7:00 pm
