REGULAR TOWN BOARD MEETING
MONDAY June 9th, 2025
Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on June 9th, 2025 at 7:00 pm. The supervisors present
wer Kale Clements and Matt Borofka. Other officers present: Erica Ullom-clerk and Jan Thorson –treasurer.

Recitation of Pledge of Allegiance by delegation present.
Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the June 9th, 2025 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on June 5th, 2025.
Public Comment: no public comment
Discussion and possible action on budget categories- catagory U-138(Townhall Maintence & Repairs) budgeted $100, spent $113.46. Darrel Fehr made a motion to move $15 from non-allocated fund to U-138, seconded by Kale Clements motion carried 3-0.
Approval of the May 12th board meeting minutes-Darrel Fehr approved, seconded by Kale Clements motion carried 3-0.
Reading by Treasurer of April financial report-Ending balance on May 31st, 2025 of $185,172.78 and total cash on hand $280,774.13. Security Bank loan balance as of May 31st, 2025 is $81,496.83
Reading and approval of the May bills Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #6383 - 6405 for payment of the May bills, seconded by Kale Clements; motion carried 3-0. Check #6384 was voided.
Building/driveway permits-Borofka Barn
Discussion and possible action pertaining to plan commission-did not meet
Discussion and possible action on apply for bridge and culvert aid with Chippewa County to replace culverts on 186th Ave. summer of 2026-Darrel present some estimates and replacement options from the county for culvert replacements for one section there is a proposed total of $6156.22; Darrel would like to apply of $7,000 in aid for that section. For the other section there are two options one option has a total of $35,159.96 and another option and is the DNR preferred option with a total of $42,283.57. Matt Borofka made a motion for Darrel Fehr to apply bridge and culvert aid seconded by Darrel Fehr motion carried 3-0.
Discussion and possible to approval of liquor, beer, cigarette, licenses and operator applications and St John’s picnic licenses- a special meeting date will be needed because proper notice was not made public. It was suggested to meet Wednesday June 18th at 3pm Darrel Fehr made a motion seconded by Matt Borofka motion carried 3-0.
Chairman’s report-fire report-Mine Roads-there were no fires and road patching will be done soon, more patching material will need to be purchased.
Recycling report by Rod Thorson-Rod gave an updated report and schedule with a quarterly spread sheet and noted that the visits to to recycling the same this year as last year.
Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report-Erica will be attending the Clerk Boot Camp on June 19th, the MRE report, the Open Book and Board of Review went well no residents came forward, liquor license applications were received.
