Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on November 13, 2023 at 7:00 pm. The supervisors present
were Matt Borofka and Kale Clements. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Jan Thorson –treasurer.

Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the November 13, 2023 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on November 10, 2023.

Discussion and possible action on budget categories: None
Approval of the October 9, 2023 Town Board meeting minutes and October 25 Budget planning meeting – Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve minutes for October 9 Town board meeting and October 25 Budget meeting. Kale Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
Reading by Treasurer of October financial report: Ending balance on October 31, 2023 of $103,205.17 and total cash
on hand $197,582.51.
Reading and Approval of the October bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #5943 - 5973 for payment of the October bills. Kale Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
Building/driveway permits: Linda Smith for new windows
Discussion and possible action relating to the plan commission: Did not meet
Discussion and approval of insurance coverage for 2024 – Darrel Fehr made a motion to change deductible to $1000 and go with Business Owners Advantage Plus Endorsement. Kale Clements seconded motion. Motion carried 2-0
Discussion and possible approval of operator permit for Bloomer Rod&Gun: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve operator permit for Trista Klemish at Bloomer Rod & Gun Club. Kale Clements seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0
Discussion and possible approval of CSM for Don Rihn: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve CSM for Don Rihn. Kale Clements seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0.
Chairman’s report: planned burn on South 40 and Cty A, mines are working on reclamation, Buchner mine is moving more equipment, EOG has not reported as to whether they are done with reclamation yet.
Recycling report by Rod Thorson – detailed report on income and expense at recycling center and Rod attended the meeting at DNR site in Eau Claire on October 12. Discussion on raising some fees on recycling to offset expenses. This will be added to agenda for December.
Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report: Election training on November 11 was well attended with 8 poll workers updating their training for upcoming 2024-2025 term,
Future agenda items and business: Pledge of Allegiance, discussion and possible action on: Budget categories, minutes of November 13, 2023 regular meeting and Special budget meeting approved, Treasurers financial report, November bills, building permits, concerns pertaining to the Plan Commission, discussion on raising fees for recycling
The next regular town meeting is scheduled for – December 11, 2023 at 7:00 pm with Christmas party to follow
