Regular Town Board Meeting

August 9, 2010

Supervisor David Clements called the meeting to order on August 9, 2010 at 8:00 pm due to Chairman Ron Fanetti being hospitalized.   The supervisor present was: Gary Yakesh.  Other officers present were:  Victoria Trinko-Clerk and Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer. See attached list for delegation present.
PUBLIC COMMENT:  James Lewis and Don Moga, candidates for the 67th Assembly introduced themselves, gave their backgrounds, and viewpoints regarding issues in Wisconsin.
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve and place on file the minutes of July 12, 2010 regular town board meeting. David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the August financial report.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the July bills.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.  
Discussion and possible action on budget categories:  No action was taken.
Discussion and Possible action on shouldering for 60th Street:  The Chippewa County Highway Dept. will honor the estimates given in the fall of 2009 pertaining to the grinding and shouldering projects.  The shouldering estimate will remain the same as on the fall estimate.
Discussion and possible action on building permit refusal-Marie Anderson:  Attorney Glenn Stoddard indicated Marie Anderson received and signed the letter sent by Attorney Stoddard on March 17, 2010.  Gary Yakesh made a motion to proceed with a letter being sent from Attorney Stoddard informing Marie Anderson of her obligation to obtain a building permit and pay additional costs for noncompliance of not obtaining a building permit.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.

Gary Yakesh made a motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Statutes 19.83 & 19.85 (1) (g) to confer with the Town’s attorney with respect to litigation in which the Town is involved.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.  Gary Yakesh made a motion to go into open session.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.  No action was taken in closed session.  
ADJOURN:  David Clement made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:19 pm.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
