Regular Town Board Meeting

December 14, 2020

 

Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on December 14, 2020 at 7:30 pm. The supervisors present

were David Clements and Matthew Borofka. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Judith Prince –treasurer.

Recitation of Pledge of Allegiance by delegation present.

Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the December 14, 2020 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on December 12, 2020

 

Public Comment: None

Discussion and possible action on budget categories: Darrel Fehr made a motion to move a total of $543 from Nonallocated Funds to P144 Animal control ($100), T-092 Treasurer Supplies ($178), 120 Insurance ($265). Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.

Approval of the November 9, 2020 regular town board & November 18th Special Budget meeting minutes  David Clements made a motion to approve both November meeting minutes.  Darrel Fehr seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0. 

Reading by Treasurer of November financial report: Ending balance on November 30, 2020 of  $115,626.54 and total         

cash on hand  $286,290.31

                                                  

Reading and Approval of the November bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers  #5245 - 5258 for payment of the November bills.  Matt Borofka seconded the motion . The motion carried 3-0.

 

Building/driveway permits: Kenny Bjork building addition to calf barn, and Robert Richter building new pole shed

 

Discussion and possible action relating to the plan commission: None

Discussion and possible action to schedule Special meeting in January for Purfrac road agreement and mine permitDarrel Fehr made a motion to have meeting following regular Town board meeting on January 11.. Dave Clements seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0

Discussion and possible action to approve payment to Earl Hassemer for computer services – Darrel Fehr made a motion to send a card and give gift of $100as a thank you to Earl. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0

Discussion and possible action on sale/transfer of mining permit from Chippewa Sand to McCourt Reclamation Services, Inc – Brian Nodolf was present to discuss the matter. Will wait for county to approve reclamation before signing. Darrel Fehr made a motion to schedule meeting for 10am 12-21-20. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.

 

Chairman’s report: – Fire Dept./Roads –  No fire in the township, culverts on 130th are plugged by beavers & Darrel Fehr called Dave Michels to come and clean them out.

 

Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report:  Bloomer School district refund of recinded taxes 340.84, Town Advocacy council, Chibardun Telephone (Sand Creek) permit for telephone cable - Darrel will follow up with Telephone Co

Future agenda items and business: Pledge of Allegiance, discussion and possible action on: Budget categories,  minutes of December 14, 2020 regular meeting, Treasurers financial report, December bills, building permits, concerns pertaining to the Plan Commission, meeting with Purfrac following regular meeting, renewal of dog contract with Calvin.

The next regular town meeting is scheduled for – January 11, 2020 at 7:30 pm

 

Adjourn:  Darrel Fehr made a motion to adjourn at 8:24 pm.  Matt Borofka seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
