Regular Town Board Meeting

February 12, 2018

 

Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on February 12, 2018 at 7:00 pm.  The supervisors present were
 David Clements and Matt Borofka.  Other officers present were: Victoria Trinko-clerk and Judith A. Prince-treasurer.   Delegation:  See attached attendance sheet.
Recitation of Pledge of Allegiance by delegation present.
Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the February 12, 2018 town board meeting was duly posted on February 6, 2018 in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley.
Public Comment:  There was no public comment
Discussion and possible action on budget categories:  There was no action on budget categories.
Approval of the minutes for the January 8, 2018 regular monthly town board meeting and January 15, 2018 special meeting:  Matt Borofka made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2018 regular monthly town board meeting and January 15, 2018 meeting.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Reading by Treasurer of January financial report:  The ending balance as of January 31, 2018 was $58,253.06 with the total assets-$213,032.80.  Checks for $40.00 from Bloomer Rod & Gun Club for operators licenses and $60.00 from Rural Insurance for refund from yearly audit were given to the treasurer for deposit.
Reading and Approval of the January Bills:  David Clements made a motion to approve the check vouchers #4530-#4554 for payment of the December bills.  Matt Borofka seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Building permits:  Darrel Fehr-barn and house roof repair
Discussion and possible approval of operators applications:  No action taken as application was not submitted.
Possible approval of Deputy Clerk’s appointments:  Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve Judith Lueck, Elizabeth Pagel and Virginia Berge for conducting an election and Mary Jo Fehr for recording and assisting at meetings from March 8, 2018 to April 17, 2018 with hourly wage of $9.00 per hour and .545 per mile.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Chairman’s report: – Fire Dept.  Fire Suppression check of $500.00 was given to the treasurer to deposit for the house fire at Chris Harmon residence.  Mine Roads- EOG has questions to be resolved in the road agreement between PurFrac and EOG. 
Dissemination of Information –Clerk’s report: WAPA meeting in Eau Claire on February 21, 2018 for board members to choose to attend; openings for offices on the CVTC board.
Future agenda items and business:
Pledge of allegiance, Discussion and possible action on budget categories, minutes of the February 12, 2018 regular meeting and February 12, 2018 special meeting,Building permits, on concerns pertaining to the Plan commission, Land Conservation Dept mine update presentation . 
The next meeting will be March 12, 2018 at 7:30 pm
Adjourn:  Darrel Fehr made a motion to adjourn at 7:14 pm.   David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
