Regular Town Board Meeting

January 14, 2008

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the meeting to order on January 14, 2008 at 7:30 pm.  The supervisors present were: David Clements and Gary Yakesh.  Delegation present were:  Victoria Trinko-clerk, Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer, Vernon Steinmetz and David LaGesse.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
Ron Fanetti made a motion to accept and place on file the minutes of the December 10, 2007 regular meeting and the minutes of the special meeting November 28, 2007.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
David Clements made a motion to approve the January financial report.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the payment of the December bills.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.  
Gary Yakesh made a motion to create a new category I-135 County Refund/Farmland Conversion under I-020 Intergovernmental Revenues.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Ron Fanetti made a motion to approve  the subdivision ordinance as proposed by the plan commission, posted in the designated three public places, and accepted as posted at the public hearing.  David Clements seconded the motion.  A roll call vote was taken:  Ron Fanetti-aye, David Clements-aye, Gary Yakesh-aye.  The motion carried 3-0.
Ron Fanetti made a motion to table discussion and possible action on establishment of an annual motile home park fee/resolution to the February regular town meeting.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Ron Fanetti made a motion to table discussion and possible action on an official map of the township until the plan commission has designated areas for commercial, residential, and agricultural.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT:  There was no public comment.
CLERK’S REPORT:

• Managed Forest Land transfer from Wallace Rihn to Mark Rihn
• Final amount of Transportation Aids
• Waste Management Quarterly Report
• Dissemination of W-2 and 1099 forms
• Increase insurance coverage on Town Hall building to include new furnace of $5800.00.  The clerk will contact Carmen Crotteau about the increase.

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:

• Certificate of Liability insurance from Makovsky Brush Service.
• Check from Farmers Insurance Exchange to cover fire call for motorcycle accident by Scott Schindler’s farm.
• Items lost in the Freeberg fire need to be rated so a check will not be received at the present time.
• Bank Mutual sent information on a CD offer on amounts of $90,000.00.
• 211 information numbers will start for referrals, support groups, etc.
• Discussion on designating land as agriculture, residential and commercial on the township map.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND BUSINESS:

• The next regular monthly town board meeting will be February 18, 2008 at 7:30 pm.
• Discussion and possible action on budget categories.
• Establishment of an annual mobile home park fee resolution.

ADJOURN: Gary Yakesh made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:31 p.m.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
