Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on July 12, 2021 at 7:00 pm. The supervisors present
were Matthew Borofka and David Clements. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Jan Thorson –treasurer.

Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the July 12, 2021 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on July 9, 2021.

Discussion and possible action on budget categories: None
Approval of the June 14, 2021 regular town board meeting minutes – Matt Borofka made a motion to approve June meeting minutes. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Reading by Treasurer of June financial report: Ending balance on June 30, 2021 of $103,331.60 and total cash on
hand $296,389.07
Reading and Approval of the June bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #5388 - 5403 for payment of the June bills. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Building/driveway permits: Home Again Adult Family Home, 16x16 overhang, Isaac Schindler remodel
Discussion and possible action relating to the plan commission: None
Discussion and possible action to revise fees in Ordinance #23 – Darrel Fehr made a motion to update Ordinance #23 fire suppression fee from $500 to $2500 per call, garbage fee from $1.50 to $2.00 bag, and change fees for recycling electronics to match what First Choice is charging township. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0
Discussion and approval to use Frontier road fund account to pay Personal Property tax – Darrel will have lawyer send a letter to Frontier Sand for approval to use funds for delinquent property tax.
Discussion and possible action on how to handle ARPA funds - received half payment on 6/25/21 of 43,856.12. Darrel Fehr made a motion to put money into separate account until we get further direction on how we can utilize the funds. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0
Chairman’s report: – Fire Dept./Roads – No fires for the month, Mine report – no change. Darrel Fehr patched a few roads, shouldering on 155th Ave was fixed so Darrel had Jan mail check to Monarch Paving
Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report: Northern Metal check for frag feed $210.00, Chippewa county driveway address for Cole Bergeson property, Manufacturing Personal Property $0, $500 Road Ditch clean up deposited to account, Recycling Grant Award $1516.99 to be deposited to account, received check from Valley Tavern for liquor license/operator permits, Chippewa county Unit meeting Tuesday July 27th Town of Delmar at 7pm.
