Regular Town Board Meeting

July 13, 2009

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the meeting to order on July 13, 2009 at 8:03 pm.  The supervisor present was: Gary Yakesh.  Delegation present were:  Victoria Trinko-Clerk and Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer, Earl Hassemer, Glenn Sarauer, Harry Prince, and David LaGesse. 
PUBLIC COMMENT:  No public comment 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve and place on file the minutes of June 8, 2009 regular town board meeting with the addition of ‘no action was taken’ when the board came out of closed session,   Ron Fanetti seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the July financial report.  Ron Fanetti seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
Ron Fanetti made a motion to approve the June bills.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
Discussion and possible action on budget categories:  No action was taken.
Discussion and possible action on building permit ordinance: There was discussion of additions of insurance involving hail and wind damage.  There was a discussion of raising the cutoff fee of $1000.00.  This item will be postponed until the next regular meeting.
Discussion and possible action on all road projects-concerned with the rejuvenation of 60th Street-culvert work [replacement of 2 culverts that would be eligible for bridge aid] and driveway culverts.  Ron Fanetti made a motion to proceed with culvert work on 60th Street excluding by Dan Harwood’s residence.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0. 
There were building permits from Ken Bjork, Pete Friberg, Scott Littfin, Harlan Wagner, Isaac Schindler, Doug Zwiefelhofer, and Don Sarauer.  The liquor/beer, cigarette, and operators licenses were dispersed and all fees were paid by Valley Tavern, Trout Creek Inn, and Bloomer Rod & Gun Club.  There was discussion of the UW- Survey Incentive and the Chippewa County Planning & Zoning Dept.
Dissemination of Information:  Chippewa County Farm Bureau Newsletter, MFL payment, Waste Management Quarterly Report, Dave Obey letter, and Fire Dues payment.
Update of road project’s progress, State statutes say this is the year we are to rate our roads.  The Pacer Wisler meeting is on July 30 to teach how to do the rating.  Chippewa County can also do the rating.  The board will determine who will complete the rating. 
FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND BUSINESS:

Gary Yakesh made a motion to go into closed session to discuss written information concerning strategy to be adopted by the town board with respect to litigation in which the Town is involved relative to the Town’s existing mining ordinance.  Ron Fanetti seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to go into open session.  Ron Fanetti seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0. No action was taken during closed session.
ADJOURN:  Gary Yakesh made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 pm.  Ron Fanetti seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
