Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on June 13, 2022 at 7:00 pm. The supervisors present
were David Clements and Matt Borofka. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Jan Thorson –treasurer.

Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the June 13, 2022 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on June 8, 2022.

Discussion and possible action on budget categories: None
Approval of the May 9, 2022 regular board meeting & May 9 BOR postponement & May 19, 2022 special meeting minutes – David Clements made a motion to approve May 9 Board meeting, BOR postponement & May 19 special meeting minutes. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Reading by Treasurer of May financial report: Ending balance on May 31, 2022 of $193,653.61 and total cash on hand $430,476.41
Reading and Approval of the May bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #5505 - 5627 for payment of the May bills. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Building/driveway permits: NONE
Discussion and possible action pertaining to plan commission – did not meet
Discussion and possible approval of liquor, beer, cigarette, operators applications – Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve liquor/beer license and cigarette license for Valley Tavern, beer license for Bloomer Rod & Gun Club and operator permits for both establishments. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0
Discussion and possible approval of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church picnic license – David Clements made a motion to approve picnic license for Catholic church for September 11, 2022. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0
Discussion and update on plans for new Town Hall – Darrel Fehr made a motion to put plan out to bid in Bloomer paper next two weeks June 22 & 29. Open bids at Regular town board meeting July 11 and then have a special town meeting for all residents (Letters will be mailed prior) on July 20th for decision to build. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0
Chairman’s report-fire report-Mine Roads– no fires, mines are going good with reclamation, Calvin Swartz requested coverage for Saturdays in June, July & August so Board members will take turns covering the recycling for him.
Dissemination of Information- MFL payment will be distributed in November for $142.60, still waiting to hear from Bob Irwin, town assessor on dates for open book and BOR.
