Regular Town Board Meeting

March 10, 2008

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the meeting to order on March 10, 2008 at 7:42 pm.  The supervisors present were: David Clements and Gary Yakesh.  Delegation present were:  Victoria Trinko-clerk, Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer, Vernon Steinmetz, Bob Irwin, and David LaGesse.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to accept and place on file the minutes of the February 18, 2008 regular meeting.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
David Clements made a motion to approve the March financial report.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the payment of the February bills.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.  
There was no action taken on budget categories.
Discussion and possible action on establishment of an annual motile home park fee/resolution was tabled to the next meeting.
The clerk, board, and Bob Irwin completed the housing survey.
PUBLIC COMMENT:  There was no public comment
CLERK’S REPORT:

• Information concerning Xcel Energy’s Focus on Energy report for heat assessment, rebates and a return of $2500. to the township if 15 Xcel Energy residents sign up for a heat assessment.
• DOA Local Government report
• PILT Brochures
• Managed Forest Land report
• Chippewa County Highway Dept. road projects letter explaining their involvement in town road projects.

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:

• Linda McCluskey needs to sign a building permit.

• Brian and Lori Pielhop completed a building permit for a new home.
• Will into a Chibardun application for cable franchise CTC
• A historical fact-there were 152 little school houses in Chippewa County.
• Will contact Brent Hassemer about the first responder contract.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND BUSINESS:

• The next regular monthly town board meeting will be April 14, 2008 at 8:00 pm.
• Discussion and possible action on budget categories.
• Establishment of an annual mobile home park fee resolution.
• There will be a special board meeting on March 13, 2008 concerning the contract and swearing of oath for assessor.

ADJOURN: Gary Yakesh made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:35 p.m.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
