Chairman Ron Fanetti called the meeting to order on March 9, 2009 at 7:30 pm. The supervisors present were: David Clements and Gary Yakesh. Delegation present were: Victoria Trinko-clerk, Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer, and see the attached attendance sheet for residents attending the meeting. Ron Fanetti made a motion to move item 7 to item 13. Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
David Clements made a motion to approve and place on file the minutes of February 9, 2009 regular town board meeting. Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the March financial report. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
David Clements made a motion to approve the February bills. Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0. There was discussion of unlicensed dogs in the township. It was proposed to send a letter to owners of unlicensed dogs notifying them of the facts concerning unlicensed dogs. An email from the County Clerk was shared with the board members concerning the raising of dog license fees and the law that governs this action.
Discussion and possible action on budget categories: It was discussed to place $27,000.00 back into a CD for the ambulance and fire dept. There was discussion of the remodeling and relocation of the ambulance service and the possibility of no charge to the taxpayers for the ambulance service next year. Gary Yakesh made a motion to move $27,000.00 from the checking account to a CD for the ambulance and fire fund. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.

Gary Yakesh made a motion to move item 8 [summons and closed session] to after item 13. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
David Clements made a motion to accept Don Steinmetz’s application for an operators license. Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
The Town Board would like the following residents for their participation in the Focus on Energy home heating evaluation: Amanda Prince, Vicki Buchner, Josanne Burgess, Jim Springer, St. John’s Rectory, Virginia Schindler, Isaac Schindler, Eunice Steinmetz, Harry Prince, Andy Shakal, Tony Bohl, Blaine Glodowski, Erin Borofka, Rudy Oblak, Mark Clements, & Victoria Trinko. Because of their participation, the Town of Cooks Valley received a check of $2500.00 to spend on an energy saving project. Suggestions of projects were insulation in the town garage, insulation around the garage doors and town hall door, or energy efficient security light. A letter or email to Patty Darley-Xcel Energy coordinator, will be sent by the town clerk informing her of the Township’s energy purchase.

Jerry Ruf submitted his resignation form. David Clements made a motion to accept Jerry Ruf’s resignation. Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0. Two people have expressed interest in the position on the Plan commission- Carol M. Clements & Rudy Oblak.
Ron Fanetti made a motion to go into closed session to discuss the written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the town board with respect to litigation in which it is involved ss. 19.85 (1) (g) and discuss the addition of a plan commission member ss. 19.85 (1) (c). David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.

Ron Fanetti stated the township will be going to court. Ron Fanetti made a motion to accept Rudy Oblak as a member of the Plan Commission. Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
