Regular Town Board Meeting

May 12, 2008

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the meeting to order on May 12, 2008 at 7:58 pm.  The supervisors present were: David Clements and Gary Yakesh.  Delegation present were:  Victoria Trinko-clerk, Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer, Vernon Steinmetz, and David LaGesse.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Vernon Steinmetz will patch potholes on 60th Street. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to accept and place on file the minutes of the April 14, 2008 regular meeting.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
David Clements made a motion to approve the May financial report.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the payment of the April bills.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.  
There was no action taken on budget categories.
Discussion and possible action on establishment of an annual motile home park fee/resolution was tabled to the next meeting.
There will be a Board of Review training session at Ron Fanetti’s residence on May 13, 2008 at 7:30 pm.  The Board of Review will be on Monday May 19, 2008 at the Cooks Valley Town Hall from 6:00-8:00pm. 
David Clements made a motion to accept Waste Managements contract.   Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT:  Vernon Steinmetz reported the culverts on 148th/150th Avenue have holes that need to be filled.  There was a discussion on putting drain tile by the soft spots on 148th/150th Avenue.
CLERK’S REPORT:

• Dissemination of advertiser’s scam for the Bloomer Advance.
• Official municipal clerk’s week
• Waste Management Quarterly Report
• Brochure from Wisconsin Salt Solutions-dust control
• Dissemination of WTA certification and membership cards
• Information of the disposal of historical records
• Form 2DA-actual costs for recycling
• Catalog of signs –Lange Enterprises

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:

• An estimate of $41,500.00 for bulldozing and ditching on 148th/150th Avenue from Chippewa County Highway Dept.  They will take core samples of the road
• The buffalo is still at large
• Results of the Comprehensive Plan meeting are after the plan is completed, residents can make changes through proper procedures.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND BUSINESS:

• The next regular monthly town board meeting will be June 9, 2008 at 8:00 pm.
• Discussion and possible action on budget categories.
• Establishment of an annual mobile home park fee resolution.
• Discussion and possible action on liquor, beer, cigarette, and operators licenses.

ADJOURN:
Gary Yakesh made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:47 p.m.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
