Regular Town Board Meeting

October 5, 2009

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the meeting to order on October 5, 2009 at 8:00 pm.   This meeting was conducted one week earlier than regularly scheduled due to a scheduling conflict of one of the board members.  The supervisors present were: Gary Yakesh and David Clements. Other officers present were:  Victoria Trinko-Clerk and Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer. See attached list for delegation present.
PUBLIC COMMENT:  There was no public comment.
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve and place on file the minutes of September 14, 10, 2009 regular town board meeting,    Chairman Ron Fanetti read the minutes aloud.   David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
David Clements made a motion to approve the October financial report.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the September bills.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.  The town board needs to determine the charges for recycling florescent bulbs and low energy bulbs.  We received payment from Toys. 
Discussion and possible action on budget categories:   No action was taken as all categories were within the budget.
Discussion regarding possible ATV Ordinance:  There was discussion of residents paying for the signs on roads they might travel on, with the signs purchased from the Town of Cooks Valley to insure legal, uniform size and material.    This item was postponed until the next regular town board meeting.
Discussion and possible action on operators licenses:  Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve the applications for operators license by Violet Jarvise, and Jane M. Rasmussen.   David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.     
Discussion and possible action on bidding for road work on 60th Street:  Ron Fanetti made a motion to place a notice for bid for pulverizing, grading, and compacting the existing blacktop on 60th Street.  David Clements seconded the motion.   The motion carried 3-0.  There was discussion of existing culverts that may need cleaning out.  There was discussion concerning a special meeting on Oct. 19, 2009 to approve a bid for roadwork on 60th Street.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND BUSINESS:

David Clements, supervisor, questioned Attorney Nodolf whether he had the information concerning Mark Clements and David Michels conducting non-metallic mining activities during the mining moratorium as indicated at the September 14, 2009 regular town board meeting.  Attorney Nodolf responded he had talked with the individual with the information and the individual did not want to pursue the matter.
ADJOURN:  Gary Yakesh made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:57 pm.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
