Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on September 13, 2021 at 7:00 pm. The supervisor present
was David Clements. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Jan Thorson –treasurer.

Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the September 13, 2021 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on September 11, 2021.

Discussion and possible action on budget categories: None
Approval of the August 9, 2021 regular town board meeting minutes – David Clements made a motion to approve August meeting minutes. Darrel Fehr seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
Reading by Treasurer of August financial report: Ending balance on August 31, 2021 of $124,424.27 and total cash on
hand $ 361,450.24
Reading and Approval of the July bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #5421 - 5434 for payment of the August bills. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
Building/driveway permits: Scott Littfin to replace shingles on shed, Joey Helland to build a shed, Bob Rubenzer for a driveway
Discussion and possible action relating to the plan commission: None
Discussion and possible action to approve CSM for Mike Leavens: Dennis Culver selling 5 acre parcel to Mike Leavens
Darrel Fehr made a motion to accept CSM for 5 acre parcel for Mike Leavens. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0
Discussion and approval of 2022 contract with Chippewa County Humane Association: 2022 rate will stay the same as last year at $1.15 per capita. Darrel Fehr made a motion to accept the contract with Chippewa county Humane Association for the coming 2022 season. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0
Chairman’s report: – Fire Dept./Roads – Two fires for the month of August, all road work for 2021 is done except for crack filling, LaGesse mine moving in equipment to start work in the next couple weeks, blasting & tree clearing will be starting. DS mine is making good progress, Buchner mine has missed some deadlines for the county.
Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report: estimate for Personal property aid in 2022 is $28.18, DOR sent equalization value for township, 2022 Recycling grant
Future agenda items and business: Pledge of Allegiance, discussion and possible action on: Budget categories, minutes of September 13, 2021 regular meeting approved, Treasurers financial report, September bills, building permits, concerns pertaining to the Plan Commission, discussion and approval of Recycling Grant
The next regular town meeting is scheduled for – October 11, 2021 at 7:00 pm, Board will meet 9:00 am Oct 26th to work on 2022 Budget,
