Regular Town Board Meeting

September 14, 2020

 

Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on September 14, 2020 at 7:30 pm. The supervisors present
were David Clements and Matthew Borofka. Other officers present: Vicki Freeberg-clerk and Judith Prince –treasurer.

Recitation of Pledge of Allegiance by delegation present.
Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting: The notice for the September 14, 2020 board meeting was duly posted in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley on September 10, 2020
Public Comment: Calvin Swartz requested help with recycling on Tuesday evenings to cover until he gets done with work. Darrel Fehr and David Clements will take hours needed and also check with Jerry Ruf to see if he will help.
Discussion and possible action on budget categories: NONE
Approval of the August 10, 2020 regular town board meeting minutes  – Matt Borofka made a motion to approve August 10th meeting minutes.  Darrel Fehr seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0. 
Reading by Treasurer of August financial report: Ending balance on August 30th of $223,620.18 and total cash on hand
$393,594.11
                                                  
Reading and Approval of the August bills: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve check vouchers #5183 - 5199 for payment of the August bills.  David Clements seconded the motion . The motion carried 3-0.

Building/driveway permits: NONE

Discussion and possible action relating to the plan commission: None

Discussion and possible action on Purfrac road agreementDave Rosenbrook is waiting on EOG, Darrel spoke to EOG and they do not think there is any market for sand. Darrel suggested Purfrac should talk to Brian Kelly at Chippewa county. Dave Rosenbrook will try to talk with Dave Bokor one more time and check with county. Will bring back something at the October 19th board meeting.                                                                          
Chairman’s report: – Fire Dept./Roads –  Bloomer Fire Dept sent 2 checks for previous fires this summer. Crackfilling has been started by Farner on 155th Ave. Everyone is pleased with the smooth road. Chippewa county backed paver into Yakesh driveway and wrecked culvert so Darrel is working with them to repair.
Dissemination of Information- clerk’s report: Revised Shared Revenue payment for November 2020 is $33,865.07.    The   2021 projected Shared Revenue is $39,839.38 and the 2021 Personal Property Aid will be $28.18
Future agenda items and business: Pledge of Allegiance, discussion and possible action on: Budget categories,  minutes of September 14, 2020 regular meeting, Treasurers financial report, September bills, building permits, concerns pertaining to the Plan Commission. Discussion on Purfrac road agreement with EOG. Proposed higher wage for Poll workers at the November 3, 2020 Election

The next regular town meeting is scheduled for – October 19, 2020 at 7:30 pm – 3rd Monday of the month
Adjourn:  Matt Borofka made a motion to adjourn at 7:58 pm.  Darrel Fehr seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
