Regular Town Board Meeting

September 9, 2019

Chairman Darrel Fehr called the meeting to order on September 9, 2019 at 7:30 pm.  The supervisors present were 
Matthew Borofka.  Other officers present were: Vicki Freeberg--clerk and Judith A. Prince –treasurer. See attached
list for delegation present.
Recitation of Pledge of Allegiance by delegation present.
Certification of proper posting for the scheduled town board meeting:   The notice for the September 9, 2019 town board meeting was duly posted on September 6, 2019 in the 3 designated places within the Town of Cooks Valley.
Public Comment:  None
Discussion and possible action on budget categories: none
Approval of the August 12, 2019 regular town board meeting minutes: Matt Borofka made a motion to approve the August 12, 2019 meeting minutes.  Darrel Fehr seconded the motion – The motion carried 2-0.
 
Reading by Treasurer of August financial report: Ending balance on August 31, 2019 of 105,831.91 with total
balance on hand of 275, 050.47  
Reading and Approval of the July bills:  Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve the check vouchers #4948 - 4958 for payment of the August bills.  Matt Borofka seconded the motion – The motion carried 2-0.

Building/driveway permits: Refund on driveway permit for Scott Culver
Discussion and possible action relating to the plan commission: none
Discussion and possible approval of 2 operator licenses for Bloomer Rod and Gun Club – Darrel Fehr made a motion to accept 2 more operator licenses. Matt Borofka seconded the motion – the motion carried 2-0

Discussion and possible action for town officials to attend meeting on 9/26/19 in Eau Claire – no one will be attending the meeting this year. No topics pertinent to township.
Discussion and possible action to set up meeting the end of September with sand mines – no meeting required at this time, Darrel will contact them to ask if they would like to comment at a regular board meeting.

Chairman’s report: – Fire Dept. – nothing for fires in Cooks Valley, Chippewa highway Dept. will be paving
55th Street within the next couple weeks.

Dissemination of Information –Clerk’s report: Request approval from Board to attend meeting October 4, 2019 in Rice Lake. Information pertinent to clerks, regarding upcoming elections. Received letter from DOR notifying Town of Cooks Valley of Equalized Value for 2019. Chippewa county Humane Association contract, Board will look over and approve at November meeting. Check received from Bloomer Rod/Gun club for 16 operator licenses.

Future agenda items and business: Pledge of Allegiance, discussion and possible action on: Budget categories,  minutes of the September 9, 2019 regular meeting, Treasurers financial report, September bills, building permits, concerns pertaining to the Plan Commission, discussion and possible action on Purfrac road agreement, discuss date for meeting to work on budget

The next regular town meeting is scheduled for – October 4, 2019 at 7:30 pm
Adjourn:  Darrel Fehr made a motion to adjourn at 7:57 pm.  Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
