TOWN OF COOKS VALLEY
Special Town Board Meeting
October 26, 2021
The Special Town Board meeting of the Town of Cooks Valley was called to order on Tuesday October 26, 2021 at the Cooks Valley town hall located at 15751 40th Street at 9:06 am by Chairman Darrel Fehr. Supervisors present were David Clements and Matt Borofka. Other town official present was Vicki Freeberg-Clerk.
Development of 2022 budget: There was discussion of levy limit from the Dept. of Revenue, development of the 2021 Town of Cooks Valley budget and establishment of a proposed levy for the Town of Cooks Valley in 2022.
Possible approval proposed budget to present at public hearing: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve the 2022 proposed budget to present at the budget public hearing. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Possible scheduling of public budget hearing: Darrel Fehr made a motion to schedule the public budget hearing for November 15, 2021 to follow the Regular Town Board Meeting – 7:00 pm at the Town of Cooks Valley hall. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Possible scheduling of a special town elector meeting: Darrel Fehr made a motion to schedule a special town meeting of the electors for November 15, 2021 following the public budget hearing. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Possible approval of additional item to the special elector meeting: Darrel Fehr made a motion for discussion on possibility of building a new town hall to be added to the special elector meeting. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
Award contract for work on 20th Street wet spots: Darrel Fehr made a motion to hire David Michels to fix wet spots, not to exceed $15,000. David Clements seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0.
Adjourn: David Clements made a motion to adjourn at 10:36 am. Matt Borofka seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0.
