ANNUAL MEETING

APRIL 8, 2008

 

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the annual meeting to order at 7:36 on April 8, 2008.  Supervisors present were Gary Yakesh and David Clements. Delegation present were:  Eunice Steinmetz-treasurer, Victoria Trinko-clerk, Vernon Steinmetz and David LaGesse.  Carey Davis, proprieter of Trout Creek Inn, arrived at 7:45, but was not a resident of the Town of Cooks Valley.
David Clements made a motion to approve and place on file the minutes of the April 9, 2007 annual town meeting.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion. The motion passed 7-0.
There was a review of the 2007 financial report. David LaGesse made a motion to accept and place on file the 2007 financial report.  Vernon Steinmetz seconded the motion.  The motion passed 7-0.
There was a discussion of the roadwork in progress;  Tree removal on 148th/150th Avenue, then proceeding to 130th  Avenue and 160th Avenue.  There was discussion of the placement of drain tile to alleviate the wet spots on 148th/150th Avenue near the residences of Bill Schindler and Curly Zwiefelhofer. Road work for the year 2008 is projected to be bulldozing, seeding, ditching, and drain tile on the wet spots on 148/150th Avenue. 
Carey Davis requested information about ordinances or permits in the township regarding male and female dancers.  He is considering scheduling such events annually at Trout Creek Inn.  The board informed Carey Davis there is nothing on the township books concerning this matter at this time and he is at liberty to pursue the scheduling if he wishes.
Gary Yakesh made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:17 pm.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion passed 7-0.
