TOWN OF COOKS VALLEY
SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
March 4, 2014

 

A special town board meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Darrel Fehr at the Cooks Valley Town Hall located at 15784 40th Street.  Officers in attendance:  Darrel Fehr-chairman, David Clements-supervisor, John Sykora-supervisor, and Victoria Trinko-clerk.
Discussion and possible action on road upgrade 186th Avenue-Preferred Sands haul route:  Rod Krecji of the Chippewa Highway Dept. explained a quality review of the 186th Avenue project prepared by Dan Fedderly.  Discussion included:  pulverizing, repaving, curb and gutter, steepness of ditches and banks, drainage concerns, restructuring of curves, start up dates, completion dates, road closures, alternate haul route, and salvage of culverts.  The specifications will be reworked and brought back to the town board for consideration.
Discussion and possible action on letting of bids for paving and shouldering on 50th Street:  The bid should include TRIP fund bid, 2 ½ inches compacted hot mix, driveway and mailbox bump outs, 2 ft. shoulders, bid form from the chairman, bid by tonnage, pavement is to be installed according to the State of Wisconsin DOT specifications and delivery with a certified 10 year design.   Darrel Fehr made a motion to let the bid for the 50th Street shouldering, grading, and paving project.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
Adjourn:  David Clements made a motion to adjourn the special town board meeting at 8:44 pm.  John Sykora seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
