The Special Town Board meeting of the Town of Cooks Valley was called to order on May 21, 2012 at the Cooks Valley town hall located at 15784 40th Street at 8:00 pm by Chairman Darrel Fehr. Supervisor present was David Clements. Other town official present was Victoria Trinko-clerk.
Discussion and action on amendments to Chapter 4 Traffic Ordinances: Darrel Fehr made a motion to add on the first page of Chapter 4 letter (C) under section 2 SPEED LIMITS DECREASED to reflect the decrease in speed limit to 35 mph on 135th Avenue from the western town line of Cooks Valley to County Highway DD; a speed limit of 45 mph from County Highway DD east to State Highway 40; and a speed limit of 35 mph on 20th Street from 135th Avenue north to the Dennis Schindler property line. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
Darrel Fehr made a motion to add on the fourth page of Chapter 4 section .03 STOP SIGNS (1) PERMANENT number 48 to erect a stop sign at the intersection of 40th Street and 135th Avenue. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
Darrel Fehr made a motion to add on the fourth page of Chapter 4 section .03 STOP SIGNS (1) number 49 to erect a stop sign eastbound 135th Avenue at the intersection of 20th Street. David Clements seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0
Adjourn David Clements made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:38 pm. Darrel Fehr seconded the motion. The motion carried 2-0.
