TOWN OF COOKS VALLEY
Special Town Board Meeting
October 29, 2019

The Special Town Board meeting of the Town of Cooks Valley was called to order on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at the Cooks Valley town hall located at 15751 40th Street at 9:00 am by Chairman Darrel Fehr.  Supervisor present was David Clements.  Other town official present was Vicki Freeberg-clerk.
Development of 2020 budget:  There was discussion of levy limit from the Dept. of Revenue, development of the 2020 Town of Cooks Valley budget and establishment of a proposed levy for the Town of Cooks Valley in 2020.
Possible approval proposed budget to present at public hearing: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve the 2020 proposed budget to present at the budget public hearing.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
Possible scheduling of public budget hearing:  David Clements made a motion to schedule the public budget hearing for November 20, 2019 at 7:30 pm at the Town of Cooks Valley hall.  Darrel Fehr seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
Possible scheduling of a special town elector meeting:  Darrel Fehr made a motion to schedule and special town meeting of the electors for November 20, 2019 following the public budget hearing.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
Possible approval of additional item to the special elector meeting:  Darrel Fehr made a motion for no additional items will be added to the special elector meeting.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
Possible approval of Recycling Grant application: Darrel Fehr made a motion to approve. David Clements seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0
Possible filing of applications for Election Security Subgrant Program for $1200 and the MLS Grant (90,000 state & 10,000 township) for road repairs: Darrel Fehr made a motion to apply for these 2 grants. David Clements seconded the motion. Motion carried 2-0
Adjourn: David Clements made a motion to adjourn at 11:58 am.  Darrel Fehr seconded the motion.  The motion carried 2-0.
